The Daiichi 1222 hook is the ultimate dry fly hook. Inspired by Darrel Martin's theory of the best dry fly hook, this hook features what modern tiers look for; wide gape, mini-barb, with an upturned tapered shank which presents mayfly wings in a very natural angled position. The 1222 hook features Daiichi’s Crystal Finish which is a white, silvery plate. A fish looking up at a fly with a “Crystal Finish” hook will find that hook almost invisible, especially with the sky in the background.
